Helping Hands is a volunteer, community service program for all high school boys & girls that live in North Andover.  The focus of Helping Hands is on cancer awareness and fundraising - particularly for pediatric cancer. We meet one night a week to plan and carry out a variety of projects and fundraisers in the North Andover and Greater Lawrence community. High schoolers can apply for Helping Hands in September at the Youth Center! All Helping Hands members must become members of the Youth Center. September 21st was the deadline for our 2016-17 leadership groups. See below for details of this year's Helping Hands' activities.

Helping Hands participates in the Merrimack Valley Relay for Life every spring! We have met our goal of raising over $8,000 for the American Cancer Society every year, and at last year's Relay for Life in May 2016 our group raised over $10,000!

Helping Hands Activities 2016-17

In order to once again exceed their fundraising goal for Relay for Life, Helping Hands fundraises in a variety of ways throughout the school year. So far this year they have held bake sales at the Youth Center and at the high school's Pep Rally event, they sell cancer ribbons at school lunches, and they are selling Smart Wallets for cell phones (picture below!) If you would like to buy a Smart Wallet for $7 see Diana at the Youth Center. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society! Thank you to everyone who has supported Helping Hands' mission!
