As long as the weather cooperates, the SKATE PARK will be OPEN! Youth Center Members may use the Skate Area for free with a signed waiver. Non-members - Residents of North Andover must have a signed waiver and $2.00. Non-Residents must have a signed waiver and $5.00. The NAYS Skater Waiver Form may be downloaded by clicking on this link. This form must be notarized if not executed in the presence of Youth Center Staff. INFORMATION FOR AREA PARTICIPANTS: The skate area was designed by Youth Center members and staff, and built in the spring of 2002 by Zero Gravity Roller Sports. The area is OPEN Monday - Friday from 2:30 - 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 1-6 pm during the school year, weather permitting. Summer hours are Monday - Saturday from 1 - 6 pm weather permitting.
| The skate area is open to everyone in grades 4 and up! Only skateboards and roller blades are allowed in the area. 4th and 5th graders are welcome on Saturdays from 1 - 4 PM. Helmets are required for all participants in the area and a complete set of rules are displayed at the park. All participants must have a waiver signed by their parents or legal guardian before they can skate. No Exceptions! Waivers are available at the front desk of the Youth Center and from skate area attendants. |
All skate area issues are addressed at Skate Committee meetings. The committee is made up of skaters who use the area and who want to be involved in making decisions about it. All area participants are invited and encouraged to attend committee meetings and get involved with the area planning.
