HOLIDAY DRIVES:  North Andover Youth & Recreation Services, with help from local residents and businesses, supply families in need of assistance with Thanksgiving meals and holiday gifts. This year NAYRS was able to provide close to 100 families with full Thanksgiving meals and almost 300 children with holiday gifts. More information about our holiday drives can be found here.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS GROUP: Our Girls Group is geared towards females at the high school who could benefit from a social/support group that focuses on exploring personal strengths and weaknesses, values, feeling, positive decision making, handling of conflict situations at home/school, relationships (peer, family, community), and several other topics.  Girls Groups meet once a week during the school day.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS GROUPS: We have two Middle School Girls Groups, one is an in-school group that runs during a lunch period once a week and the other is an after-school group, called Ladies Lounge, that runs once a week at the Youth Center.  These groups deal with today’s issues around relationships (friends, family, school), decision making skills, goals, self/body image, and a variety of other topics that are of concern during the middle school years. Contact Diana at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information about Ladies Lounge, or about in-school Girls Groups.

YOUTH TRACKING & OUTREACH: The purpose of our Tracking and Outreach program is to offer support and guidance to the youth of North Andover.  Tracking/Outreach is not counseling or therapy, but rather time spent between a Youth & Recreation Services staff and one participant.  The time spent together may include a recreational activity, having lunch, or just talking and getting to know one another. Tracking/Outreach should be a positive and enjoyable experience for all those involved.

FAMILY AND PEER MEDIATION SERVICES:
Our support services staff are often called upon to act as mediators for family or peer issues. The staff at Youth & Recreation Services are trained mediators.

RESOURCE GUIDE: North Andover Youth & Recreation Services provides an information and referral guide for local therapists and counselors.  You can view the Resource Guide here. This booklet  is available to Parents, Students, Teachers and Guidance Counselors. If any local therapist that would like to be added, please contact Demi at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
