Freshmen/Sophomore Youth Council

Youth Council has been a staple Youth Services program for over 20 years. It’s a high school leadership group open to freshmen & sophomores, whose goal is to organize and participate in projects that help people in the community. In the past these projects have included volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, the nursing home, the soup kitchen and more.

High schoolers can apply for the Youth Center's leadership groups every September! Students accepted to our leadership groups must become Youth Center members. See below for a description of this year's Youth Council activities! If you have any questions about the program, contact Kyle at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Youth Council 2017-18

Youth Council is starting their school year teaming up with Junior/Senior Youth Council to plan the annual High School Girls Powderpuff Tournament! This tournament raises money for our Youth Council members to sponsor two children in the the Youth Center's Holiday Gift Drive, which supports families in need during the holiday season. This year's Powderpuff tournament will be held on Sunday, November 19th. See a Youth Council member to sign up!
